Bible Wednesday 8/14: Say So

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 107:1-43. Verse 2, what person needs to hear my testimony of how God redeemed me from the hand of the enemy? First step today?

I Kings 6:1-38. Meticulous detail for Solomon’s seven-year building project of the temple. Can I have the slightest doubt that God has worked out his good plan for my life in equally meticulous detail?

II Timothy 4:1-22. Verse 5, do the work of an evangelist. What attitudes and actions does this require of me today? Or is this command of Paul not intended for me at all?

Mark 14:66-72. Reviewing the last few days or weeks, what opportunities have I missed to speak up for Jesus? What opportunity awaits me today or very soon? Will I ace it or blow it?
