Bible Sunday 2/2: Jacob's Morning After

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 84:1-12. Verse 10, what attitudes and actions are required of me today if I’m to be a doorkeeper for God?

Genesis 33:1-20. Jacob and Esau resolve their lifelong feud. When have I seen God heal bitterness and estrangement in a family? Application to present needs?

Malachi 3:1-7. Verse 2, who may abide the day of his coming? If Jesus returns today, what do I want him to find me doing?

Luke 2:21-40. What qualities did God instill in these two aged saints, Simeon and Anna, that they could so quickly recognize the Messiah? By expressing those qualities today, what could I do for the kingdom?
