Bible Thursday 1/9: He Leads Me

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 23:1-6. If I want to be under the protection of Jesus the Good Shepherd, what’s required of me today?

Genesis 9:1-29. When have I seen the rainbow of God’s faithfulness to me, even in dark and stormy times, even when I didn’t deserve it?

Hebrews 3:1-11. Verse 6, if I go through this day rejoicing in the hope of Jesus Christ, how will others notice?

Matthew 4:12-17. What enabled Jesus to set out on his ministry at the very time that John, his forerunner, was imprisoned by a cruel tyrant? How can I access from God even a little of that courage, purpose, and self-offering?
