Bible Monday 2/17: To Move Mountains

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 119:25-48. Verse 29. what are some lies I must refuse to accept or tell, today and every day? Why does God hate lies and lying?

Genesis 48:1-22. Israel, soon to die, blesses Joseph’s two sons. What is the most important legacy, material or spiritual, that I have received from my father or grandfather?

Romaans 3:9-20. Why does the Bible so emphatically reject the platitude that all people are basically good? How does this stern passage shape my approach to today?

Matthew 17:14-21. Verse 20, what mountain do I figuratively need to move today? Where can I get the necessary mustard seed of faith in God?
