Bible Friday 4/4: Bought with a Price

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 81:1-16. Verse 10, open your mouth wide. What are the attitudes and actions that will best prepare me to receive all of God’s good gifts today?

Proverbs 30:1-33. Verses 8 and 9, related, how can I pray today with a humble receptive heart, like bowing to a king, not like ordering off a menu?

I Corinthians 6:12-20. Verse 20, with what demeanor shall I go through this day, in that I am not my own but have been bought with the price of Jesus’ blood?

Matthew 22:41-46. Related, where did my conduct yesterday fall short of obeying Christ as Lord? What is one specific way in which I can do better today?
