Bible Monday 4/14: Believe and Receive

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 40:1-17. Verse 3, what is the new song God and his Son will put in my mouth during these days leading up to Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection? How will that song become a blessing to me and others?

Zechariah 8:1-23. God’s special promises to Zion and Jerusalem, Israel and Judah, and the Jews. How can I thank for that in thought and deed during this Holy Week?

John 12:37-50. Verses 42 and 43, how does the Cross put me to the test, whether I love the praise of men more than the praise of God?

Matthew 21:18-32. Verse 21, what mountain do I hope to see moved today by the prayer of faith in Jesus Christ?
