(By David Prentice) The Coronavirus Task Force had its daily update on Saturday, April 4. It was excellent, except, of course for most of our awful media stooges. Their questions were mostly loaded, destructive, and as usual, the press core showed themselves to be biased people who aren’t journalists at all. These people are shameful and shameless at the same time.
Back to excellence: Several major messages were given out by the President and the other Task Force members. The first was the message that the deaths that are likely occur in the next week or two will be hard to take. It won’t be fun. It will be nasty. The second message was a matter of fact description of the mitigation techniques and how each of the Task Force members thinks these are working.
That was excellent news, wonderful news. Two messages, the worst is about to begin, but the second message: The virus is going to be beat. Quite the one-two punch. I liked it.
Then there was the pivot point. I have believed for a while that the President has had a plan for getting people back to work, back to normalcy, and for allowing the country to climb out of the economic disaster we are facing. That we will begin to boom again. My ears perked up.
The President said the following, repeating it several times. “The cure cannot be worse than the disease.” He then said “We have to get back to work, we have to open the country again.” This phrase was repeated many times as well.
These messages were repeated by Dr. Fauci, Dr. Hahn, Dr. Birx, and by Mike Pence:
“We have to get back to work, we have to get the country open again.”
Bravo Mr. President!
Your pivot was a grand slam, a game changer in so many ways. He prepared the nation for its worst week of death from this awful disease, he delivered the message that what we are doing is working, and clearly believes it enough to say what needs to be said next. It’s time for Americans to think about getting back to normal. We don’t want to do this quarantining forever; we need to truly move towards a fuller life once again when the times allow us to.
He described discussions with heads of all the sports leagues. The great pivot towards normalcy. And it was awesome. Maybe the self-appointed truth-tellers in the media were shocked by this approach, but for the general public, it was the beginning of the campaign towards normalcy most of us were hoping for.
He primed us with information of good news. The mitigation techniques are working. The medical community and its brilliance are figuring out how to cure this, figuring out ways how to cope with it, and to make it better.
Yes, he left us wiggle room if we have setbacks, even predicting them. But then he caps it all with the powerful message that we are all going to get back to work sometime soon, and recover a sense of normalcy once again.
A tour de force.
Make no mistake, this wasn’t just a pivot in a press conference, it was a pivot in policy. It’s the beginning of the beginning. He cautioned how it’s dependent on things continuing to progress. It’s a narrative that is going to take many days of messaging to get out, yet there it was, it had begun.
The pivot is being unleashed. Most of us understand the hard left will do everything in its power to prevent anything positive from taking hold. And most of us have seen how brilliant Trump has been at foiling these lying, destructive narratives the hard left would have us believe. In the end he wins.
Because he fights them. Because he engages them. Because he makes them face facts, and turns the tables on them. The leftist media must be beside themselves, because deep down, they know the American public is liking the job that Trump has done.
The public knows this is not Trump’s fault, despite the media’s shameful attempts to claim that. They instinctively know that nobody else could have handled this anywhere near so well. They know this is a brilliant, hard working President, one who actually cares for the welfare of the American citizenry. Once again, they have failed to get rid of him.
It was hard not to smile as the President lauded Americans for their unity behind him. He said this several times as well. The American public has rallied behind the President, and yes, they are unifying behind him.
It was his speaking of the wonderful unification taking place that will bring his narrative over the top. Because it is true, a strange unity is occurring. Much to the chagrin and horror of the hard-left.
So watch as he uses this template to jump start America one more time.
The battle will continue hard against this invisible menace.
The battle will continue hard against our awful, evil, arrogant, shameful far-left Democrat/media complex.
But the rallying cry has gone forth. “We have to get back to work, we have to open our country again.” Sunday, speaking again about our economy, he added, “It’s going to take off like a rocket ship.”
I found it fascinating that every other person that spoke at the podium Saturday sent the same message. Dr. Fauci saying we needed to return to a degree of normalcy. All of them moved onto that message. And of course, the hard-left media tried to muddy up the message, tried to negate it as much as they could.
But they did not prevail.
One thing they keep forgetting is that the main mass of Americans is not caught up in the narratives of the hard-left. Trump long ago has shown anyone with a partial brain just how awful these people are, just how much they lie, just how much worse than coronavirus they all are.
Infectious, destructive, malicious, amorphous clouds of noxious contagion that need to be washed away. Admittedly, there are still too many that believe the masters of our Democrat/media complex. The good news: They are broken. Bigly.
The American spirit is highly resilient. Americans want their freedoms back. The freedom to be normal. The freedom to enjoy each other’s physical company, the freedom to play sports, to watch sports, go to concerts, go on vacation, the freedom to get back to work, and above all, the freedom to worship God with one another again. We call it the life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
Because of the resiliency of our founding principles, because of that spirit in the American soul, because of our freedoms, we will come back.
Remember how a short time ago we were in the midst of the best economy we had ever seen. Then this virus took it away. Trump reminded us we are going to be there again. Very Soon. Very soon.
We are pivoting. We may be at the bottom, or slightly on our way up. We’ll know soon enough which it is. But what matters is that we have pivoted. We are going to return to normalcy, the very thing Americans want. Again. We are going to become the beacon of the free world. Again.
We are going to go up like a rocket ship.
