Bible Thursday 5/2: Perfect Timing

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 148:1-14. What are the actions and deeds—not just thoughts and words—by which God invites me to praise him every minute of this day?

Ezekiel 25:1-17. Punishment for the enemies of Israel. Who now intends hatred and harm against Christians, that I can trustingly consign to God’s justice today?

I Peter 1:13-25. Verses 14-16, does holiness in Christ seem an impossible goal for me, far out of reach? What’s one practical step I could take in that direction today?

John 7:1-9. Verses 6 and 8, Jesus’ perfect sense of timing. What’s going on in my life at present, where I need His help on this?
