Bible Wednesday 11/9: Lucifer Prowls

Psalm 81:1-16. When God graciously invites me, "Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it" (verse 10), am I missing out by failing to do as he said? Spiritually what does that involve?

Isaiah 14:1-32. Am I fully alert, on guard, and armored today against the attacks or allures of Lucifer, Satan, the adversary, the deceiver, the serpent, the dragon (verse 12)?

I Thessalonians 2:1-12. Would I have more success sharing the gospel with seekers if I could learn to do so as gently as a nurse with a child (verse 7, KJV)?

Luke 19:28-40. What did Jesus mean in telling the Pharisees (verse 40) that if the crowds hadn't acclaimed him as sent from God, the very cobblestones would have done so?

These are some of the questions I asked myself in studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide. Click and see what you think.  Where is your self-examination leading today?
