Bible Saturday 12/23: Paradise

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalm 138:1-8. Verse 6 KJV, am I as concerned about the lowly as God is? What can I do to show it at this season of giving and goodwill?

Micah 3:1-12. Verse 3, same issue, a shocking analogy of injustice to cannibalism. Where is anything like this going on in my community? What am I doing about it? What's my church doing?

Revelation 20:1-15. Is my name written in the book of life? By what evidence could a non-believer guess the answer?

Luke 23:39-56. Verse 43, same issue, have I received such an assurance from Jesus? Does it make me passive or active, proud or humble?
