Bible Sunday 12/31: Tale Told

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalm 90:1-17. Verses 4, 10, 12, what's my greatest specific praise to God from the year of 2017? What's the greatest challenge I need his help with, entering 2018?

Deuteronomy 3:1-29. Succession planning, Moses to Joshua. What person in a key role (me included) must I learn to see as expendable so long as we keep God uppermost?

Revelation 22:12-21. Verses 18 and 19, in the coming year, how shall I go deeper into the Bible, neither adding to it nor taking from it? First step?

Matthew 25:31-46. If judged by Jesus today on the basis of the past year, would I be commended with the sheep or condemned with the goats? Action plan to do better?
