Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalm 103:1-22. Verses 3-5, five ways God shows us his love. What's an example of each that I have experienced from him? In which of these ways do I need him most in this new year?
Deuteronomy 4:1-49. Verse 24 KJV, being warned that God is a consuming fire, how should I conduct myself toward him? Likewise being warned he is a jealous God? Or isn't this so?
Hebrews 3:1-11. In what everyday ways am I at risk of disobeying God as did the Israelites in the wilderness? How shall I go about avoiding that?
Luke 2:21. Granted today marks the eighth day since baby Jesus' birth, why does this verse matter to me as his follower in 2018?
