Bible Monday 3/27: Not My Own

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalm 89:1-52. What injustice particularly concerns me today in my immediate experience or in the wider world?  How shall I pray for God's justice to remedy that (verse 14)?

Ecclesiastes 8:1-17.  Do I live fully aware of death's inevitable and unforeseeable coming (verse 8)?  That is, though confident of eternity with Christ, am I making every day here count?

Galatians 2:11-21. Further on the same question: How far short do I fall of thinking and acting and dealing with others as if truly crucified with Christ and no longer my own (verse 20)?

Matthew 19:23-30. And further still: How much have I really forsaken to follow Jesus (verse 27)? Action point for today?
