Bible Thursday 3/30: Work to Do

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalm 69:1-36. When have I experienced verses 19 and 20, God seeming to hide his face from me, then drawing near again?  What did I learn?  Action point for today?

Ecclesiastes 11:1-10. When have I taken the risk of generosity and hope (verses 1, 6), trusting God despite unpromising circumstances (verse 4)?  How did it turn out?  Action point for today?

Galatians 4:1-11. Today how can I draw into a closer intimacy with God as his adopted child, learning to call him Abba, that is, “Daddy” (verse 6)?

Matthew 21:28-46. What work in God’s vineyard do I well know he has given me, that I am not fully doing right now? Action point for today?
