Friday 3/31: Whole Duty

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalm 102:1-28. For what individual or group, materially or spiritually held prisoner, can I pray God’s deliverance today (verse 20)?

Ecclesiastes 12:1-14. Concluding my 12 days’ study of this uncheerful book, what lesson can I take from it to make me a more tough-minded man of God?

Galatians 4:12-20. When have I felt ill-used by someone telling me hard truths, who only wanted to help form Christ in me (verses 17, 19)?  How did it turn out?  Action point for today?

Matthew 22:1-14. When have I made — or am I even now making -- lame excuses to God (verse 5)? Whom that God has invited into fellowship have I looked askance at (verse 10)? Action point?
