Bible Monday 3/13: Landmarks

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalm 56:1-13. What are my greatest fears (verses 3-4)? When I confide them to God, what do I hear him saying to me?

Proverbs 22:1-29. What moral or spiritual landmarks am I grateful to have from my parents and family (verse 28, KJV)? What duty do I owe in return?

Romans 16:17-27. What voices or tendencies in Christianity today fit Paul's warning in verses 17-18? What is the action point for me in response to verse 19?

Matthew 16:21-23. Related to the above, how might I be led to downplay the Cross? What lesser landmark might subtly displace it and distract me?
