Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 149:1-7. Verse 4 KJV, what is there in myself or my experience right now that is ugly or disfigured, and which I can ask God to beautify?
Nehemiah 8:1-18. Verses 9 and 12, in learning more and more how to walk with God, when have I been brought to tears? And brought to laughter? Present application?
Galatians 5:1-15. Verses 1 and 13, what potential is there for me to misuse the liberty I have in Christ? How does that liberty position me to better serve others? Step I can take today?
Luke 9:18-27. Verse 20, when given an opportunity to say who Jesus is, am I this direct or do I hedge? Verse 23, what specifically will it mean for me (me) to take up my cross today?
