Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 116:15. Verse 15, who are some of the honored dead in my life story? What do I value about each of them? How can I pay this forward today?
Nehemiah 7:1-73. No one insignificant in God’s book of names. Who is unknown to me on my street, in my workplace, at my church? Whose name shall I learn today? Why does it matter?
Galatians 4:21-31. Verses 28 and 31, am I clear about my identity and spiritual DNA in Christ, a clean break with my fleshly heritage? Any unfinished business in this regard?
Luke 9:10-17. What meager loaves and fishes do I need Jesus to multiply for me today, so that I can be more of a blessing to others?
