Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 119:1-24. Verse 9, with teens and young adults, is my church more involved in challenging them or catering to them? Are we prey to moralistic therapeutic deism?
Nehemiah 4:1-23. Verse 17, in what way am I spiritually called on right now to build with one hand and defend with the other? Prayer point?
Galatians 3:15-29. Verse 28, what categories or labels for people, humanly useful, must I transcend as a Christian? Action point?
Luke 8:26-39. Verse 28, when has sin or evil within me aggressively pushed back at Christ’s command to be gone? Present application?
