Bible Saturday 11/10: Who's Up

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 75:1-10. Verses 6 and 7, as I continue praying for the election aftermath, what hinders my trust in God’s good purpose? In what way is my prayer not fully impartial and Christlike?

Isaiah 15:1-9. Related, is God any less familiar with my local geography and the lessons needing to be learned by us who live here, than he is with Moab in this passage? Again, do I trust him?

I Thessalonians 4:1-8. Related again, but now for me personally, verse 4, what seems to be God’s top priority for my sanctification right now? Verse 7, how is my holiness coming along??

Luke 13:1-9. Exactly what would it look like for me to bear more fruit for God? How has he been working on me, perhaps severely, to bring that about?
