Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 71:1-24. Verse 6, what factors, favorable or otherwise, have defined me from birth? Is God less familiar with them than I am? What would I have him do with them?
Isaiah 13:1-22. Verse 11 KJV, for what wickedness would God justly punish me, were it not for the atonement of Jesus Christ?
I Thessalonians 2:13-20. Verse 19, who is a special source of hope and joy to me because of their closeness to Jesus?
Luke 12:35-48. Verse 48, exactly how does God’s rule of “much given, much required,” apply to me? What’s my action point for today, to live up a little better to that requirement?
