Bible Wednesday 5/2: Free for what?

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 72:1-20. Prayer of King David for Solomon, his son and successor. Verse 15, what is my most fervent request of God for a child or grandchild of mine today?

Ezekiel 32:1-32. Verse 3, God casts an inescapable net of justice. Where and over whom, to restrain evildoers and rescue the innocent, do I desire to see his net spread today?

I Corinthians 14:26-40. Verses 33 and 40 KJV, thinking of God's whole church, where do we need to see peace dispel confusion? What needs to be done more decently and in order?

John 8:31-47. Verse 32, a dozen words, more often parroted than pondered. Exactly what truth will I know by following Jesus? What does he set me free from? What am I free for?
