Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 119:73-96. Verse 96, have I achieved this realism, to know that human affairs will always go awry, but God can always command a solution? Present application?
I Samuel 25:1-44. Who are some godly women I have known that were gifted as Abigail was, taking charge, rising to any occasion? Is feminism a biblically valid idea?
Acts 9:10-25. For whom can I be a bridge to Jesus, as Ananias was for Saul? What key ingredients of such a relationship do we see in this story?
Matthew 22:15-22. Do Christians in this country have the balance in rendering to God and to Caesar that Jesus intended? From day to day, do I? Is my church on this?
