Bible Friday 8/31: Governor

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 22:1-31. Verse 28, what dangerous world situation should I be praying for today? What shall I ask God to do about it?

Job 7:1-21. Have I ever wanted to argue with God, or demand an explanation from him? Or have I known someone who did? What can the Christian say to someone at that extremity?

I Timothy 1:12-20. Verse 18 KJV, what kind of warfare am I engaged in for Jesus? Verse 19 KJV, by what gradual decline or chain of bad decisions might I make shipwreck of my faith?

Mark 12:38-40. How did the scribes, though prayerful, bring damnation on themselves? Where in me are there seeds of the same sins Jesus charged against them?
