Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 14:1-7. Verse 4, what are the worldly powers today that “devour” people like so much bread? What is God’s answer to this? What is my church’s role, my role?
I Chronicles 21:1-30. Verse 1, in body or mind, my person or my loved ones, where am I most vulnerable to Satan at present? Prayer point for today?
Ephesians 3:14-4:6. Verse 20, blessings unimaginable. What big prayer have I held back from lifting up to God? What’s stopping me? Is today the day?
Luke 11:24-28. With locks, lights, alarms, and other security precautions, is my physical house better protected than my mental and spiritual house? At what risk? Action point?
