Bible Thursday 10/24: Armor of God

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 37:1-40. Verse 37, who is a role model that I seek to emulate as a true man or woman of God? Thinking of my biggest challenge right now, how would that person approach it?

I Chronicles 29:1-30. Verse 14, as far as this attitude about my possessions and kingdom generosity, am I about average, or sadly below average, or humbly somewhat above average? Prayer point?

Ephesians 6:10-24. Verses 14-17, six pieces of spiritual armor. How shall I actively wear each of these items today, not just think about doing so? My plan, memory aid, or checkup routine?

Luke 12:54-56. What are my instruments, indicators, and practices for spiritually discerning the times as Jesus commands me to do? Why does it matter? Action for today?
