Bible Thursday 10/10: Self-Scrutiny

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 133:1-3. Verse 1, just thinking of the Christians in my community, why are we so disunited? What can I and my church do about it? Why does it matter?

I Chronicles 15:1-29. Verse 13 KJV, due order. Verse 29, David dancing and playing. In our devotions to God, how can we know the balance he wants between thought and feeling, structure and spontaneity?

II Corinthians 13:1-14. Verse 5, self-examination by the faithful, Paul holding them accountable. Who holds me accountable in walking with Jesus? Room for improvement?

Luke 10:13-20. Verse 20, lesser and greater reasons for rejoicing as a Christian. What would it look like for me today to get this right, or to get it wrong? Action point?
