Bible Wednesday 10/9: Pattern of Prayer

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 119:145-176. Verse 164, how many times a day do I intentionally turn to God with prayer and praise? Is it too structured (rote)? Or too undisciplined (casual)? Action point?

I Chronicles 14:1-17. Verses 10 and 14, exactness of God’s instructions to David. Shall I trust him today for specifics as well as generalities?

II Corinthians 12:11-21. Verse 12 KJV, why is patience the sign of an apostle? In what may it be that God is testing my patience today?

Luke 10:1-12. Verse 3, how does “lambs among wolves” describe the situation of Christians right now? How do we stand a chance? What specific wolves confront me and my church? Prayer point?
