Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 119:121-144. Verse 130, on what matter today do I need God to give me light, clarity, illumination, definition, disclosure, unveiling? For me to have this, what does he require of me?
II Chronicles 27:1-9. Jotham rules more faithfully than his father. What good and bad examples did I have from my parents? What good and bad examples do my children have from me? Prayer point?
Revelation 3:7-13. Verse 8, by what attitudes and actions today can I move through the open door Jesus is offering me? What difference will it make?
Luke 18:31-34. The disciples can’t comprehend Christ’s coming passion. By what attitudes and actions today can I show Jesus that I “get” what his death and resurrection meant for the world?
