Bible Tuesday 11/19: On the Lookout

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 94:1-23. Verse 12, when has God chastened me with a hard lesson or painful correction? What did I learn? Present application?

II Chronicles 26:1-23. King Uzziah tragically overreaches. How does government seek to usurp the place of God in our times? What is my church doing about it? My role?

Revelation 3:1-6. In the watchfulness Jesus is commanding, what am I on the lookout for, and what am I to do about it? How can this benefit me today?

Luke 18:24-30. Verse 25, what worldly baggage do I need to offload in order to pass through the needle’s eye and enter the kingdom of God?
