Bible Monday 12/23: Dayspring

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 127:1-5. Verse 1, heading into 2020, in what area of my life do I need to start trusting more in God and less in myself?

Micah 3:1-12. Verse 11, positions of trust bought and sold. Where is this occurring right now? Who is getting hurt? Where is God?

Luke 1:57-66. Parents of John the Baptist. What father and mother, not related to me, do I admire for their godly example?

Luke 1:67-80. Verses 72 and 78, mercy poured out. In what specific form do I pray to experience God’s mercy upon me and mine at this season?
