Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 132:1-18. Verse 7 KJV, worship at his footstool. What actions and attitudes does this require of me today, to show God how I revere him?
Micah 4:1-13. Foretelling a golden age under God. What is my church doing to make this real? What mistakes must we avoid? My role?
Hebrews 1:1-14. Verses 1-3, Lord Jesus, if this is who you are, how can I place you anywhere but at the very center of my life? What shall I do in the next 24 hours to practice that, so it carries into the next 12 months?
Matthew 1:1-17. Almost 2000 years of faithful men and women used by God, yet none was a blood ancestor of Jesus. Such a Son, such a Father. What glorious things must he be preparing just for me in 2020?
