Bible Friday 12/13: The Reckoning

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 107:1-43. Verse 8 KJV, soul food. What meat and milk of God’s goodness do I need to digest today, in order to gain true satisfaction?

Daniel 5:1-31. Verses 26-28, handwriting on the wall. What is God’s warning to America in our time, that most leaders in every walk of life aren’t heeding? What can I do about it?

Revelation 16:8-16. Verse 15, related question, if Jesus returns today, what will he expect to find me doing?

Luke 23:1-12. Pilate and Herod, unlikely friends. What do I know about King Jesus that these worldly men of power didn’t know? What difference can it make to me today?
