Bible Sunday 12/15: The Cross

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 111:1-10. Verses 2-8, taking note of God’s works. What did God do for me yesterday, that I took for granted?

Daniel 7:1-28. Verses 9, 13, and 22, Ancient of Days. What do I gain by trying to picture what God the Father looks like? What do I risk?

Philippians 4:4-9. Verse 8, can I spot each of these six qualities in people who cross my path today? Why does it matter?

Luke 23:26-43. What scene or saying from the day Jesus died shall I dwell on this week, to point up the reason for the season?
