Bible Monday 12/16: The Lamb Victorious

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 115:1-18. Verse 12 KJV, God is mindful of us, one and all. Believing it, what do I hope are his thoughts of me today? Can anything prevent those thoughts being realized in my experience?

Daniel 8:1-27. Verse 15-19, the angel Gabriel visits Daniel. In my faith are angels very real, potentially real, or not so real? What activity of angels shall I ask God to send my way this Christmas?

Revelation 17:1-18. The woman of abominations and her armies, defeated by the Lamb and his chosen ones. What role does my church have in this spiritual war? My role?

Luke 23:44-49. Jesus dies as faithful women watch. By what attitudes and actions can I and my family make Good Friday a part of Christmas today and this week?
