Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 139:1-24. Verses 13-16, what is there in my body or that of a loved one today that needs correcting by the medically sovereign God described here?
Proverbs 22:1-29. Verse 6, what’s something important I tried to teach my children? Verse 28, something important my parents taught me? About this, what praise do I owe God, or what healing do I need from him?
Titus 1:1-16. Verses 7-9, the pastor as a steward of God. Who exemplifies this in my church? How can I reward, support, or aid them?
Matthew 18:1-5. What are some childlike qualities I can express today for Jesus? How can I keep them going tomorrow, not lose them overnight?
