Bible Friday 3/15: Children Ride Free

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 51:1-19. Verse 13, how has my life, with all its lessons and mistakes, equipped me to teach sinners about God, and convert them? What immediate opportunity have I to do that?

Proverbs 21:1-31. Verse 13, God will treat me as I treat the poor. Right now on this report card, am I getting an A, an F, or what?

Romans 16:1-27. Verses 25 and 26, what was kept secret from Adam’s time till Paul’s time, then told to all the world? What is it called a mystery? How would I explain it to a friend without using “Bible talk”?

Matthew 17:24-27. Does Jesus include himself and Peter among the children or the strangers here? What’s the guidance for me as a Christian in a Christ-denying world?
