Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 60:1-12. Verse 4 KJV, wine of astonishment. What hard things is God showing his people in America at this time? What is my church doing about it? My role?
Proverbs 20:1-30. Verse 17, when have I been a deceiver, or been deceived? How did God show up? What did I learn?
Romans 15:22-33. Verse 30 KJV, striving together in prayer. Bringing my needs to God, do I strive or just go through the motions? Am I on a team or solo? Action point?
Matthew 17:14-23. How shall I go about growing my faith to at least the size of a tiny mustard seed? What kept the disciples (and keeps me) from getting to even that beginner level in Jesus’ school of prayer?
