Bible Wednesday 4/10: Think on These

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 130:1-8. Verses 3 and 4, what is the biggest thing God ever had to forgive me for? The biggest thing I ever had to forgive someone for? Keeping those in mind, how might my day be different?

Zechariah 5:1-11. Verse 8, what is the worst wickedness in my community right now? What can I do about it, with God’s help?

Philippians 4:2-9. Verse 8, mental hygiene for the Christian. Reviewing yesterday, where did I blow this? Anticipating today, what’s a specific opportunity to do better?

Matthew 25:14-30. Verse 21, why does God, who owns everything, take joy when I return him double? What “few things” of his are in my care now? What “many things” might he entrust to me if I’m faithful?
