Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 62:1-12. Verse 8 KJV, pour out your heart before him. What have I been holding back from God, out of fear or shame, mistrust or weak faith? Why not pour it all out today?
Exodus 23:1-33. Verses 2-8, favoritism and bribery. How does the spirit of this warning caution me in human relationships right now?
I Corinthians 4:14-21. Verse 15, who are my fathers or mothers in Christ? How can I particularly live up to their example today?
John 7:1-13. Verse 6, where do I get my sense of timing for important steps in following Jesus and witnessing of him? How can I improve this?
