Bible Tuesday 6/11: We Shall Overcome

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 67:1-7. Verse 2, how, if at all, does the saving health that God gives differ from bodily wellbeing? How can I partake of it today more than yesterday?

Leviticus 1:1-17. These offerings not being required of the Christian, what does God ask of me today that calls for the same degree of exactness, obedience, and solemnity?

Acts 4:32-37 & 9:26-31 & 11:19-26. In these three snapshots of Barnabas, what spiritual gifts does he show? Whom have I known in the church that resembles him? How can I be more like Barnabas this day?

John 16:25-33. Verse 33, what’s my greatest need for peace right now? When I feel the world is overcoming me, why does it matter that Jesus overcame the world??
