Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 101:1-8. Verse 3, spiritual hygiene and mental housecleaning. What “taking out the trash” does God ask of me today?
Exodus 38:1-31. Verse 22, Bezaleel, master workman for the glory of God. What qualities does he exemplify for me to emulate in “building up” my Christian witness and my church?
I Corinthians 12:1-11. What spiritual gift is most evident and fruitful in me? Is there a spiritual gift I may be under-utilizing at present? Am I pressing too hard in some area, without a gift? Action point?
John 10:31-42. If the man Jesus was in fact God incarnate, what difference does that make in the biggest challenge I’m facing today?
