Bible Thursday 7/25: Empty Threats

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 59:1-17. Verses 6 and 14, what threats of harm or danger, concerning to me, are the mere barking of dogs from God’s perspective? Prayer point?

Numbers 18:1-32. God’s call on Aaron and the tribe of Levi. What is God’s specific call on me? On my family? How can we better respond from now on?

Acts 13:26-41. Verses 40 and 41, beware, don’t miss the offer. Is this warning only to non-believers, or am I too at risk of missing out on Christ? How might that occur?

Mark 9:38-50. Verse 50, related question, am I as salty as Jesus wants me to be? How is that measured? Action point?
