Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 87:1-7. Verse 5, claiming a Zion birth certificate. What is my spiritual birthright? And my human birth story? Which predominates?
Numbers 34:1-29. Exact borders of the Promised Land. What unmistakable boundaries and landmarks define the true home God has prepared for me? Applicable now or only in the future?
II Peter 3:8-13. Verse 8, what problems of time—too much of it, too little of it—shall I lay before God today?
Mark 11:27-33. When have I found silence to be the best way of getting on with God’s work? Application for today? Relevance to social media and public controversies?
