Bible Thursday 9/12: Impossible Odds?

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 50:1-23. Verses 16 and 17, God’s truth ignored or mocked. In what way have I recently done this? Prayer point?

Judges 7:1-25. God reduces Gideon’s army by 99%, then grants them victory. When has he forced me into utter dependence on him, then used that to bless me? Present application?

Colossians 1:1-18. Verses 9-13, for whom shall I pray this strong prayer today, applying each detail to their specific situation?

Luke 5:27-32. Related question, who might be far more ready to risk all and follow Jesus right now, than appearances would suggest? What part can I play?
