Bible Wednesday 1/22: Assemble

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 56:1-13.. Verse 8 KJV, when have I wandered in uncertainty or away from God? How did God show up? Present application?

Deuteronomy 22:1-30. Laws for right conduct in oneself, with others, with animals. What’s my process for discerning God’s intention as to which parts of the Bible remain in force and which do not? A troubling issue?

Hebrews 10:19-25. Verses 24 and 25, with what persons do I have the best give and take for spiritual growth? Why does Jesus insist on his followers assembling together?

Matthew 7:7-12. Verse 7, how can I more fully pursue this threefold approach to prayer today? Verse 12, what current problem can the Golden Rule help me solve today?
