Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 111:1-10. Verse 10, what specific wisdom about this tough year of 2020 do I get by fearing the Lord? What false sources of wisdom must I therefore reject?
Nehemiah 2:1-20. Verses 10 and 19, what individuals or institutions today are determined to hinder in every possible way, God’s people in our kingdom-building work? How can we counter that?
Galatians 4:1-11. Verse 7, as an adopted son or daughter of the King, no longer a servant or slave, what endowments and privileges are mine right now? What obligations come with that? Action point?
Luke 12:13-21. How does covetousness subtly influence me? What unnoticed choices between asset management and soul care may lie in my path today?
