Bible Friday 2/21: On the Wheel

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 121:1-8. Who do I know that needs encouraging today, with whom I can share these strong promises of God right now?

Jeremiah 18:1-23. Verses 3-6, what false self-sufficiency must I give up to know myself truly as clay to the potter, under God’s hand? How shall I specifically ask him to reshape and smooth me today?

Romans 8:12-17. Verse 15, what intimacy of Father and child is God offering me with the invitation to call him “Abba”? From what fear is he thus unchaining me"?

Matthew 13:10-17. How can I gain the keener eyes and ears for Christ’s reality, described here? What’s the reward if I do? What’s the cost if I don’t? Action point for today?
