Bible Thursday 4/23: Look Up

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 121:1-8. What attitudes and actions are implied in the directive for me to “look up” if I want God’s help in this pandemic?

Ezekiel 13:1-25. Woe to those who tell lies in God’s name. Where is this sin evident in the current crisis? What is my church doing about it? My role?

I Peter 4:1-11. Verses 7-9, with everyday life disrupted, what new opportunities is God giving me to bless others through prayer, love, and hospitality? Action point for today?

John 4:1-14. Verse 10, related question, by what evidence in my daily life would a non-believer notice that I drink often of the living water Jesus gives us?
