Bible Wednesday 4/29: All Made Alive

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 143:1-12. Verse 7 KJV, hear me speedily, Lord. As the pandemic drags on, what am I feeling urgent or impatient about? Is it a real problem or an attitude problem? What is God’s remedy?

Ezekiel 19:1-14. Israel laments over her troubles and woes. For me and those closest to me, our church, our state, our country, what might it be that God intends for us to learn from this crisis? Action point?

I Corinthians 15:20-28. Verse 22, what attitudes and actions are required of me today, if I am to be in Christ and not in Adam? How would others notice it, without a word from me? How does this relate to the Covid contagion?

John 5:24-35. Verse 30, seeking God’s will. What’s my yardstick for telling my own will from his? How can the Bible help me with that? How can a good Father willingly allow this pandemic?
